I'm Marit, a Los Angeles-based artist whose work is influenced by my Norwegian roots and Japanese aesthetics, with a soft, calm sensibility inspired by Japandi.

I create nude portraits in sumi ink as well as acrylic paintings on raw cotton, using gentle color palettes and organic forms inspired by nature.

Through Marit Studio, I want to create art that feels warm, welcoming, and quietly expressive ~ bringing softness, beauty, and connection into a space.
